Pera

Tapat Siya at palagi Siyang magiging tapat.

This Is My Story

What’s your story?

What’s your story? Take a minute to think about where you are right now and appreciate all of the things God has done for you. Each one of us has a different story, but one thing is constant: God is good. He has always been, and always will be faithful.

He has brought us out of slavery and has given us new life.  He has given us the power to overcome temptation. He has given us hope and a bright future.

Live in the true freedom that He offers you. Don’t return any longer to the captivity of sin. Jesus says, “I’ve made you free, now start living like a free man. Don’t live in sin any longer. Don’t live in condemnation anymore! You have been set free.”

It’s not over yet.

God created you for a purpose. He is a good Father and He has a wonderful plan for your life. “Even before He made the world, He loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in His eyes.” (Eph. 1:4) Nothing can ever separate you from His amazing love for you.

The Bible talks about God changing us from “glory to glory” and “from strength to strength”. This means that your story isn’t over yet. He started the good work within you and He will be faithful to complete it. He’ll never give up on you.

The best is yet to come.

Remember: God will be faithful to finish the good work that He started in your life.

What God wants:

  • Give you an amazing future and hope.
  • Completely heal you and give you freedom.
  • Use your life to be a testimony of His grace.

Reflection
Questions:

  • What is my story?
  • What has God delivered me from?
  • In what ways have I seen God’s faithfulness?
  • How has my life changed since accepting Jesus as my Savior?
  • What can I expect my future to look like?

Take a moment to hear from God:

Who Are You Really?

Have you ever…

Have you ever been scammed or cheated out of a lot of money? We would hate it if this happened. So why would we purposefully do this to ourselves?

If you are living a double life–a certain kind of person in one situation, and a completely different person in another, you are living a lie. What would people say about you if they found out who you really are?

Choose to live with integrity

Being a person of integrity is something that no one can do for you. You must make this choice for yourself.

Interestingly, the word “integrity” comes from the same root word as “integer”, meaning “whole”. In other words, no discrepancy exists between one’s public life and one’s private life. People of integrity have nothing to hide and nothing to fear. Personal integrity includes being authentic, honest and living by your convictions.

That’s how we should live. If you are living in the truth, people should be able to see consistency in your lifestyle. The way you live and the way you talk match up.

A person of integrity is that rare person who fulfills their word, follows through on commitments and tells the truth, even when it’s difficult.

Remember: Jesus empowers us to live a life of truth and integrity.

What God wants:

  • Empower you to live in truth.
  • Teach you to do what is right.
  • Give you wisdom to make wise choices.

Reflection
Questions:

  • What does it look like to live with integrity in my home?
  • How can I live with integrity in my workplace?
  • What kind of legacy will I leave in the world?

You’re Not Alone

Ever felt completely alone?

More than any other person on earth, Jesus understands that feeling perfectly. When he was on the cross, carrying the weight of our sins, he cried out in terrible anguish, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”

Jesus understands our humanity, because although wholly God, he was human too.

Maybe you feel that way. Alone, unloved, forgotten.

You may feel like you are in a “prison of hopelessness” right now. Maybe you can’t even see if there is light at the end of the tunnel. If you feel hopeless, God wants you to know that He has an amazing plan for your future. He wants to give you hope again.

He is with you.

Whatever situation you may be in, you are not alone. You are not unloved. You are not forgotten. Jesus cares about you and He loves you. He has promised that when we are a part of his family–no matter what happens–He will always be with us.

Things don’t always go the way you want them to go. Things happen that are terribly disappointing and out of our control. The one thing we can control is how we respond. We can choose to run to Jesus to find comfort and rest.

Will you run to Him when loneliness, discouragement and depression come flooding in?

Remember: You can come to God to find hope, rest, and comfort. He is always with you.

What God wants:

  • Encourage you with His constant presence.
  • Comfort you in times of loneliness.
  • Give you hope, purpose, and direction.

Reflection
Questions:

  • Why should I come to Jesus?
  • Will I choose to surrender to Him the burdens that I carry?
  • Will I actually put my hope in Him and His plan for my life?

Take a moment to hear from God:

Scared?

Fear can be crippling.

What is it that you fear? Fear is not a stranger to any of us. We may be afraid of anything–losing our loved ones, death, failure, or the unknown.

We even think of potential “what-if” scenarios to be afraid of like: “What if someone hurts me?” “What if something happens to my children?” or, “What if my family hates me forever because of what I’ve done?”

The good news is, we don’t have to live in the shame of our past or the fear of what the future may bring.

God has called us to more than that.

People try different solutions to fear. They may try to drown their fears in anti-anxiety meds, stimulants, food, friends, entertainment or drugs. However, just numbing your fear isn’t a good or a permanent solution.

The only thing that can set you free from the fear that binds you, is something that is bigger than that fear.

God is bigger than our fear.

In fact, the Bible says that God’s perfect love “casts out fear”. When we know that the Powerful God is with us, we don’t have to be afraid. He said that He is on our side and He’ll never leave us.

His love is constant. His love for us doesn’t change based on our past, present or future. His love is unconditional–not based on our performance.

Choose to believe the truth that God is for you–not against you. He will be beside you every moment, and nothing will be able to separate you from His love.

Remember: When faced with fear, choose to trust in God. Know that He is always with you. He is more powerful than anything you fear.

What God wants:

  • Give peace to your troubled heart and mind.
  • Banish any and all fear that you have.
  • Surround you with the knowledge of His presence.

Reflection
Questions:

  • What things do I fear?
  • How does my fear impact my daily life and my decisions?
  • Will I allow God’s presence and His love set me free from my fears?

Take a moment to hear from God:

Money

Are you in love with money?

Money isn’t evil, but loving money too much is.

Think about it. Greed for more money motivates some to sin. People often lie and are dishonest in order to get money.  They take bribes, steal, and commit crimes such as hold-ups, selling drugs, or kidnapping for ransom.

People often think that having more money will make them happy.

Unfortunately, if you depend on money for happiness, you will always be disappointed. Money can’t buy you true happiness. Money can’t buy you love.  Only God can give these to you.

The Proper Perspective

We need a proper perspective on money. Money is important, but it is simply a tool that we use. Choose to honor God with this tool. Choose to use your money wisely. Make smart choices.

It’s good to want improvement, but don’t let greed control your decisions. Contentment can’t be found in material things, people or circumstances. True fulfillment and contentment is found in Jesus Christ.

In fact, God tells us that we don’t have to worry about money. He has promised to be our Provider. We can trust that He will be faithful to provide all of the things we need.

Remember: If you choose to make God your first priority, He will be faithful to provide all of your needs.

What God wants:

  • Bless you abundantly so you can bless others.
  • Teach you how to make wise financial choices.
  • Show you His faithfulness in the area of finances.

Reflection
Questions:

  • What are the things that I value the most?
  • Do I judge myself by how much money I have?
  • Am I trusting God to be my provider?

Take a moment to hear from God:
