Anong Klaseng Buhay? Devotional

Anong Klaseng Buhay?

Nakakamangha…

Nakakamangha ang prutas. Malasa, matamis at masarap.

Gawin natin itong personal.

Gaano Ka Katatag? Devotional

Gaano Ka Katatag?

Gusto man natin…

Nililinang Niya tayo araw-araw upang maging katulad Niya.

What Kind of Life?

Fruit is Amazing

It’s flavorful, sweet, and delicious.

However, fruit doesn’t come from a tree overnight. Instead, it comes from a tree that originally started from a single seed. It was planted in good soil, received adequate water and sunlight and developed into a mature tree that could bear fruit.

Fruit-bearing is a natural part of a fruit tree’s life cycle.

Let’s Make It Personal

If we, like a tree, want to have a life full of good fruit, we have to remember to be faithful. Fruitfulness is a result of faithfulness and remaining connected to Jesus. Jesus specifically tells us that we can’t bear fruit apart from Him.

Don’t become impatient in the development process and give up. The Bible promises that we can expect to have the fruit of the Holy Spirit, (such as love, joy and peace) if we remain connected to the source of love, joy and peace–Jesus Christ.

Remember: The wonderful fruit that you want to see in your life only comes when you remain connected to Jesus.

What God wants:

  • To develop you, like a tree that bears good fruit
  • For you to stay connected to Jesus–the source
  • That the fruit from your life would be an incredible inspiration and blessing to those around you

Reflection
Questions:

  • What type of fruit is resulting from my life?
  • Am I staying connected to Jesus?
  • Are there areas in my life where I am unfruitful? If so, why?

Take a moment to hear from God:

Read the following Bible passages for the day and ask God to speak to you:

  • Luke 6:43-44
  • John 15:4-7
  • John 15:16
  • Gal. 5:22-23

How Strong Are You? Devotional

How Strong Are You?

It’s a given.

There will be storms in life. Whether we like it or not, we will have to face challenging and difficult situations. Our goal is that we stay standing strong, even during these trials.
Consider the example of a tree. Throughout its life it will have to weather countless storms. Without an immense root system to anchor it and provide nourishment, a tree would topple over.
The same is true for us. Those who are planted deeply in Christ and in a community of fellow believers, are more likely to survive life’s storms.

Think about it.

What will keep you standing strong when things get hard?

We need to remain faithful to allow God to develop us into the person He wants us to be. He promises us that He started the good work within us and He will be faithful to bring it to completion. He is developing us day by day to be more like Him. He is creating us to be His masterpiece and He takes great pleasure in us.

Don’t worry, you’re not alone. You can do all things through Him, because He is strengthening you!

Remember: God is my greatest encourager. He began the good work within me and He will be faithful to complete it.

What God wants to do:

  • Encourage you to keep going
  • Create in you a beautiful masterpiece
  • Show you that He is always there, even in the strongest storm

Reflection
Questions:

  • What is the quality of my “root system”?
  • How will I remain strong through the storms of life?
  • Will I be faithful to follow God even when it is difficult?
  • How does God develop me?

Take a moment to hear from God:

Read the following Bible passages for the day and ask God to speak to you:

  • Psalm 92:12
  • Philippians 1:6
  • Colossians 2:7
  • Philippians 4:13
