Have you ever been scammed or cheated out of a lot of money? We would hate it if this happened. So why would we purposefully do this to ourselves?
If you are living a double life–a certain kind of person in one situation, and a completely different person in another, you are living a lie. What would people say about you if they found out who you really are?
Being a person of integrity is something that no one can do for you. You must make this choice for yourself.
Interestingly, the word “integrity” comes from the same root word as “integer”, meaning “whole”. In other words, no discrepancy exists between one’s public life and one’s private life. People of integrity have nothing to hide and nothing to fear. Personal integrity includes being authentic, honest and living by your convictions.
That’s how we should live. If you are living in the truth, people should be able to see consistency in your lifestyle. The way you live and the way you talk match up.
A person of integrity is that rare person who fulfills their word, follows through on commitments and tells the truth, even when it’s difficult.
